Kaisuke Ken Manesuru is a former Kendo prodigy hailing from Tokyo’s Shibuya district. Raised in a traditional dojo alongside his parents and twin younger sisters, Kaisuke’s early life was shaped by rigorous training under his father's guidance, which began almost as soon as he could walk. His natural talent with the blade was clear, but his enthusiasm slowly vanished as he faced harsh and mentally exhausting bullying at school, causing him to withdraw both socially and from kendo.

Struggling to cope with his insecurities, Kaisuke developed a confident and boastful persona to mask his vulnerabilities. This facade became most apparent in his gaming life, where he thrived as a skilled and strategic player, channeling his frustrations into the virtual world.

His summoning to a new world brought an overwhelming sense of excitement, but it clashed with his physically and mentally exhausted state. Initially arrogant and irritable due to the sudden change, Kaisuke’s cranky demeanor softened somewhat after being granted a short rest. Kaisuke also seems to have an innate dislike towards those who look down on him.

Damian Afer

Damian Afer is another hero summoned from Earth, and he and Kaisuke have struggled to see eye-to-eye since their summoning. Their initial meeting leaving both feeling a distaste for the other, with the two seemingly always ready to verbally argue. Despite their shared mission, they clash in their way of thinking and approaches to situations, making cooperation between them a distant dream.

Gry Eivil

Gry Eivil was the first welcoming presence he felt within this new world. While many others either, even if unintentionally, intimidated him or looked down on him, Gry treated Kaisuke as an equal from their very first proper meeting. This simple but friendly approach helped Kaisuke lower his guard and feel more at ease in an otherwise unfamiliar and somewhat hostile environment.
